The SP1 ranked second in 2025’s Product of the Year category.
BSME is proud to announce its Sublimation Printer SP1 ranked second in this year’s Creative Impulse Award, in the category ‘Product of the year’.
The SP1 distinguished itself among 40 other products, coming from 11 countries and 3 continents.
This year’s jury was impressed by the ‘quality, innovation and creativity’ of the sublimation printer SP1. The SP1 was congratulated for bringing new craft inspirations and ideas to the Creativeworld fair visitors and enriching the competition.
BSME is honoured to see its innovation recognised once again, after last year’s second place won by the Skitch PP1.
Shigeki Yamashita, managing director at BSME, states: ‘I’m pleased that the SP1’s quality and innovation were recognised by this prestigious prize. The Brother Sublimation Printer SP1 is one of the two printers BSME recently launched, along with the Brother PrintModa Studio fabric printer. Seeing the SP1 rewarded in this way reinforces our will to expand the areas where we can be at the side of the global crafting community. We’ll work hard to continue to deliver well made, innovative and easy-to-use machines that answer the needs of crafters and small businesses.’
With Brother’s Sublimation Printer SP1, users can print their own designs onto a wide variety of objects, from mugs to tote bags and bookmarks. Users simply print their design onto a sublimation paper using Brother’s printer and heat-sensitive inks, then sublimate them onto their desired item with a heat press. All of that from their desk!
Design possibilities are extended even further by connecting the SP1 to Brother’s mobile creative design app Artspira. Crafters can then design, modify, and print directly from their phone or tablet (Apple or Android) to easily create personalised projects.
The Creative Impulse Award is hosted by the international craft, hobby, and arts fair Creativeworld in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Divided into five categories, the awards focus on innovation and added value. Among the numerous criteria deciding the winners, the judges can focus on the performance, complexity, or environmental aspects of the contestants.
