How to

Step 1

Download the patterns, transfer them to your ScanNCut, and cut the number of pieces you need.

Some patterns will need only two layers and others more, so be careful when cutting them.

Tip: vary the sizes, patterns, and colours of the snowflakes to add some variety to the final result.

Step 2

To make a 3D snowflake decoration, you’ll need to take two cut layers and slightly fold them inward following the folding marks (watch the video above for more details).

Step 3

Then, take one of the layers, turn it, and add some liquid glue to the middle, vertical arm of the snowflake (the one with the holes).

Take the second layer and fit it into the first, gluing them together.

Once dry, fold the other arms slightly to give the snowflake its 3D effect.

Tip: depending on the pattern of the snowflake, more than two layers might be needed. In this case, follow the same process but staple the layers together following the middle arm instead of gluing them together.

Step 4

Attach the decorative cord using the holes in the snowflake’s arms and your first ScanNCut snowflake is ready.

Tip: attach your 3D snowflakes to fairy lights to create a sparkly Christmas decorations.
