Gingerbread man and Christmas pudding paper decorations
Let’s welcome the holidays into our home by making handmade hanging decorations with our ScanNCut.
Where will you hang these cute Christmas pudding and gingerbread man decorations? Around the house, on the tree, from presents? Or all three?
If you love these decorations and want to make fabric versions, we’ve made these as an in-the-hoop appliqué project too. You can find it here.
Materials needed
- Cardstock in gingerbread, red, green, white and purple
- Double sided tape
- 15cm piece of ribbon or string (for each ornament)
Equipment needed
- ScanNCut machine
- Standard blade
- Low tack cutting mat
- Spatula
How to
Step 1
Download the files and transfer them to your ScanNCut machine.
Step 2
Cut all the pieces.
Step 3
In your ScanNCut design functions, mirror all the pieces you have just cut and cut a second ‘mirrored’ set (to make the back of each ornament).
Step 4
Assemble the decorations. They are made two sides, one ‘normal, one ‘mirrored’. Be careful if you’re making multiple versions of each design, they don’t look asymmetrical, but they are!
Attach the hanging loop on the inside top of one side of your decorations. Then stick the two layers together.
Step 5
It’s time to get decorating!
