
Matchbook Gift Box
Present that extra special gift to your loved one is this beautiful matchbook gift box, which has been made extra special with a slip-cover and a pretty bow.
John Bloodworth, The Gentleman Crafter, shows us how this can be made on your ScanNCut in time for the big day.
Materials needed:
- Paper or card (all minimum size A4 or US Letter):
- two sheets of 12 x 12” 80lb/200gsm cardstock
- one sheet of 12 x 12” 65lb/180gsm patterned paper - Bookbinding glue (low moisture/quick tack glue) or double-sided tape
- Ruler
- Manual scoring stylus
- Tweezers (optional)
Equipment needed:
- Brother ScanNCut – Any CM Model
- Standard mat [CAMATSTD12]
- Standard blade [CABLDP1] and blade holder [CAHLP1]

- Brother ScanNCut – Any SDX model
- Standard mat [CADXMATSTD12]
- Standard auto blade [CADXBLD1] and holder [CADXHLD1]

- CanvasWorkspace for PC or Mac
How to
Step 1
Download the CanvasWorkspace project file and open it in CanvasWorkspace for PC or Mac (the installed edition).Step 2
Open the layers tab on the right.Step 3
Hide and lock all the layers except the one titled PART 1.Step 4
Transfer this to your machine using the File>Export/Transfer FCM File… menu option (using your preferred transfer method) and cut one set. This will require ONE sheet of 12” x 12” cardstock.Step 5
Hide and lock all layers except the one titled PART 2.Step 6
Transfer this to your machine using the File>Export/Transfer FCM File… menu option (using your preferred transfer method) and cut two sets. This will require one sheet of 12 x 12” cardstock.Step 7
Hide and lock all layers except the one titled PART 3.Step 8
Transfer this to your machine using the File>Export/Transfer FCM File, menu option (using your preferred transfer method) and cut one set. This will require one sheet of 12 x 12” patterned paper.Step 9
Assemble as shown in the video.
