Fancy foam baubles
With the holidays approaching why not make these family-friendly foam baubles? It’s a perfect rainy day ScanNCut project for kids and adults alike.
Materials
- Craft foam in a variety of colours
- Double sided tape
- Craft glue
- Glitter or stamp pad
- Hanging string or ribbon
Equipment needed
- ScanNCut machine
- Standard Mat
- Auto blade or cutting blade suitable for your machine
How to
Step 1
Download the files and send them to your cutting machine.
Step 2
Cut as many of the ‘front’ sets for the number of baubles you’re planning to make.
Tip: use your ScanNCut’s in-built design function to play around with the sizes and shapes.
Step 3
Using your ScanNCut’s in-built design functions, flip each of the designs you’ve just cut, to create ‘mirror’ versions. These are the back of your baubles. You can cut these at the same time as the ‘fronts’ if you’re using lots of different colours of foam.
Step 4
Assemble the baubles by gluing the hanging string to the back of one of the shapes, and then adhere the two sides of the motif to each other.
Step 5
Finish by dabbing the edges onto a stamp pad, or dab in glue and then roll in glitter/small beads.
We hope you have fun creating memories and crafting with your kids!
