CanvasWorkspace 101 – how to open your free account
We’ve designed our ScanNCut machines to be standalone. That means you don’t need a computer or any design software to use them. Just take them out of the box, and start getting creative!
Just because they’re standalone, doesn’t mean we haven’t created a space for you to get designing to your heart’s content. We have. It’s called CanvasWorkspace.
CanvasWorkspace is our free application that allows you to enhance or create your own original cutting and drawing designs. You can also download hundreds of free projects, save all your designs to use again and even browse additional patterns to purchase.
In this article we’ll show you how to create your own free account. Then you can get exploring and having fun – for free!
How do you sign up?
To get started, you need to create an account. Don’t worry, it’s free.

Then what?
Watch this easy-to-follow video to show you how the process works.
- On the landing screen, scroll down until you see the ‘New’ button, click on it.
- A screen with an overview and our Terms and Conditions will appear. Scroll all the way down and click ‘accept’.
- Enter your information accordingly and confirm.
- On the next page, you can check and make sure your information is correct, and then click ‘Register’.
- You will receive a confirmation email message to the email address you used to register. When you receive the email click on the URL contained to activate your account.
- Now your registration is complete, and you are ready to go!
How to get started
Now that you have your account set up, log in by filling in your login name and password, and then click ‘Log in’.
Look above this page of projects and you’ll see this page is called ‘Canvas Projects’. These are all free downloadable projects for your ScanNCut.
