Celebrated for its accessibility and practicality, Brother’s Innov-is A65 sewing machines achieves ‘test winner’ in Stiftung Warentest home sewing machine test.
In a test against eleven other home sewing machines, Brother’s Innov-is A65 sewing machine scored 1.8, the highest rated machine in the test.
The test was carried out by experienced hobby sewists, who were equipped with identical needles and thread to ensure the fairest test conditions were met. Each machine was then assessed on various stitching styles, durability tests and special functions.
The independent foundation, Stiftung Warentest, evaluate the results from the test against a predefined criteria and score the products from 1-6 (1=very good, 4=passed, 6=failed).
The Innov-is A65 stood out for its accessibility with its slide speed controlled slow stitching function being particularly good for beginners. The testers also recognised its user friendliness, noting the ease of selecting stitches, changing the feet and threading the machine. The fuss free, flexible features came together to achieve top points in the test.
Brother‘s Airflow 3000 overlocker was also among those tested. Praised for its safety-first approach, it was the only overlocker in the test that featured additional safety measures built into the machine. The Airflow also scored highly with a 2.7. It was praised for its automatic threading function and sleek cutting results.
Alexander Kuhn, General Manager of Brother Sewing Machines Europe, said: “We are very pleased to learn that the Innov-is A65 has been recognised for its quality and ease of use by a renowned foundation like Stiftung Warentest.
