Another successful year for Brother’s Golden Ring run

This year’s Golden Ring charity run raised €20,000 to support the fight against cancer.

Brother staff moved over 1,000km during the 2025 Golden Ring, raising a whooping €20,000. The sponsorship money was donated to the Frankfurt Foundation for Children With Cancer in the hope of finding a cure against childhood cancer and providing care for those families currently living with the illness.

Brother encourages employees, business partners, and families to join the Golden Ring and amplify its impact. Staff are encouraged to run or walk the route – even supporting non-office staff to walk/run the same distance wherever they are in the world. This year, on site participants were also rewarded with ice cream and burger trucks, adding a festive feel to the event.

The Golden Ring was started by Brother International (Japan) in 2012. Organised throughout Brother offices all over the world, this annual run aims to raise money to contribute to good causes.

The initiative underlines Brother’s commitment to stay ‘At your side’ and to contribute positively to society. It also answers one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, ‘Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages’. The Golden Ring joins other initiatives undertaken by Brother employees to strive for a better world, such as keeping bees at the Bad Vilbel office (learn about this here).

Shigeki Yamashita, managing director at BSME, states: ‘As a large corporation, we believe in giving back to our local communities. The Golden Ring run is an important event for our German office as it does just that, while bringing our employees and their families together. I’m very proud to see our employees’ commitment and the impressive result we’ve achieved this year.
