  • Embroidery thread in red, white, and the colour you wish to make the bauble

Equipment

  • Embroidery machine
  • Embroidery hoop

Download stitch files here

How to

Step 1

Download the files and send to your machine.

Step 2

Hoop a double layer of the water-soluble fabric.

Tip: if you’re unsure about the different types of stabiliser and what they’re used for, we’ve written a handy guide, which you can read here.

Step 3

Wind a bobbin of each colour you’re using during the stitch out. Remember to change the bobbin when you change top thread!

Step 4

Sew each of the designs out.

Step 5

Remove from the hoop and trim the water-soluble fabric as close to the stitching as you can (don’t cut through the stitches!).

Step 6

Soak in lukewarm water to remove the fabric. Rinse and shape, leave to dry.
